DRYER- DEHYDRATOR FOR SQUARE BALES
PATENTEE SYSTEM

TECHNICAL INNOVATION 2000

  • Compact, modular system complete with its own roof;
  • Suitable for use in all types of farms;
  • The space required has been reduced in half compared to the area utilised by traditional-type systems because EDMBP it works with two rows of bales of hay placed one upon the other;
  • Double-front of drying with independent air flows for each level;
  • The flows of air from the top and the bottom through the bales of hay provides uniform ventilation for the entire section;
  • Thermal dispersion reduced to a minimum because the ventilation pipe are positioned between the bales and are protected.
  • Reduction of the drying time;
  • The system can be used either in complete or partial form by adopting the appropriate closing systems;
  • The closed and autonomous ventilation unit ensures the maximum safety;
  • The system can be rapidly installed without requiring building permits;
  • The entire system can be quickly transferred using normal farm equipment.

The advantages obtained are as follows:

  • Doubling of the system’s capability at equivalent installed electrical and heating power;
  • Increased ventilation efficiency;
  • Reduction of the costs;
  • Reduced manoeuvre space required because the system is loaded and unloaded from one side only;
  • Compact structure equipped with roof;
  • Considerable reduction in hayloft storage space.

Work diagram of a module for the drying or dehydration of bales of hay. Two-directional air flow produces two drying fronts to reduce drying time considerably. The double drying front is equipped with independent air flows for each level. The lower ventilation chambers are separated from the upper.

The dried hay bales ensures high quality hay due to:

  • absence of mould
  • absence of fermentation in the forage
  • more leaves
  • high protein content
  • limitation of mechanical collection losses
  • No dust (cause of lung disease)
